3 key facts about Georgia State

Panthers are averaging 64.5 points per game, tied for 325th out of 346 Division I teams.

Panthers are allowing 63.7  points per game, 16h best in Division I. I’ll do the math after the regular season, but I would bet that there’s not another Division I team with such a discrepancy in rankings between points scored and points allowed.

I would also love to try to figure out if the Panthers’ defense is really that effective, or if the points allowed is more of a reflection of the team’s struggles on offense, which typically requires using up most of the shot clock, which shortens games and limits opponent’s possessions. Unfortunately, I can’t find a website that accumulates and sorts that data. If you know of one, send it my way.

The Panthers are being outrebounded by 4.1 per game in all games, 4.6 in conference play.

Frank Eaves is averaging 19.7 points per game and hitting 40.1 percent of his 3-pointers. He scored 25 points in App’s win over the Panthers in their first meeting.
