5 things to watch in Georgia State vs. Arkansas State

The Georgia State men’s basketball team (13-11, 6-9 Sun Belt) will host Arkansas State (11-15, 7-8) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Panthers have lost seven of eight games because of an inefficient offense and lack of transition game. Though coach Ron Hunter is proud of the team’s defense, it still gives up too many offensive rebounds, which robs the offense of more chances to score while give the opponents more chances. A double whammy, as it were.

G Kevin Ware. Averaging 12.2 points per game. Hunter called he and Hollowell out after the loss to Arkansas-Little Rock, saying the team’s two best players have to play better. They combined to miss 16-of-20 shots in the game.

G Austin Donaldson. It may be time to move the freshmen into the starting five. Hunter said he loves how he plays coming off the bench. However, the season is at stake.
