Georgia State’s bid to buy Turner Field has been approved by Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority board.

Development plans call for the 67 acres call for the conversion of Turner Field into a football stadium for the Panthers. The $300 million development will also include a mix of student housing, apartments and retail fronts.

No timetable has been set on the transition from the Georgia Dome.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited by the prospect of an on-campus home for football? Are you against it?
