The Georgia State men’s basketball team (4-2) will host Old Dominion (4-4) at 2 p.m. at the GSU Sports Arena on Saturday.
The Panthers haven’t played at home since an overtime win against IUPUI on Nov. 27.
I think this is a fairly important game for the Panthers because they need a win over a quality opponent going into the Sun Belt Conference. The league seems much better than people anticipated with Arkansas-Little Rock and Texas-Arlington much stronger than expected, as well as Louisiana-Monroe already defeating preseason favorite Louisiana-Lafayette.

Freshman Jeff Thomas scored 12 points, and Markus Crider and Isaiah Dennis scored 10 points each to lead the Panthers.
Old Dominion defeated Delaware State 82-38.
