Georgia State will open its men’s basketball regular season by hosting Middle Georgia State at 7 tonight at the GSU Sports Arena.

Last year

Georgia State went 25-10, winning the Sun Belt’s regular season and tournament titles. The Panthers famously defeated Baylor in the second round of the NCAA tournament, before losing to Xavier in the third round.

Last game

The Panthers destroyed Oglethorpe 85-34 in an exhibition game on Monday. The Panthers scored the first 26 points and eventually forced the Stormy Petrels into 32 turnovers.
