Georgia State running back Taz Bateman was not cleared on Monday to participate in Saturday’s game at Arkansas State.
The Panthers will have Demarcus Krik and Khai Anderson available to play. Starter Kyler Neal is out for the season with meniscus damage in his knee. Marcus Caffey is focusing on academics.
Bateman has been out since sustaining a broken forearm in the second game of the season. He underwent an X-ray Monday afternoon to gauge the healing process, which resulted in the determination that he can’t play on Saturday.
Bateman is the team’s third-leading rusher with 99 yards despite playing in less than two games.
