It’s time for another “Less than a minute with … ” series as I attempt to give you the news as quickly as possible so that you can get onto doing whatever you need to do.
I, for example, will be watching Premier League soccer on Saturday.
So, today we have Georgia State offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski:
What your goals for camp?
One of the things that we wanted to do is make sure we have our timing down. We feel really good that we’ve got the guys all summer. We had them all spring, had them all summer. We want to make sure we’ve got our timing down and make sure we protect the football. That’s really a good. We have to make sure we hold onto the football. We can’t be turning the ball over like we did last year. You just can’t win games that way.
With all the experience coming back, with all the skill position players coming back, is there something that you don’t have to work on this camp that you had to work on last year or the year before?
No. We still have to have a running game. We had it early in the season and then we lost all those backs. We got depleted there. The running game will set up the passing game and the pass will set up the run. We need to do both. I think our perimeter players are pretty good. I really think that we have a good skill set out there. We can put a lot of mismatches out there. Donovan (Harden) and Joel (Ruiz) and (Robert) Davis and all those guys. But we have to be able to run the football or we are barking up the wrong tree.
