It seems that the Georgia State men’s basketball team played quite well while I was gone on vacation last week.
The Panthers improved to 19-8, 12-4 in the Sun Belt with impressive wins over South Alabama and Appalachian State. Georgia State will begin three consecutive road games with a trip to Arkansas-Little Rock on Thursday.
You can catch up on how they did, and get my opinion on what I heard while listening to the games, by clicking play on the above video, or by clicking on this link.
Basketball wasn’t the only thing going on.
Matt Rose hit two more home runs on Sunday — bringing his season total to an NCAA-leading five — as Georgia State split a four-game series with UMass Lowell. The Panthers are 4-4 this season and will play at Georgia Tech on Wednesday.
The women’s basketball team defeated Appalachian State and UALR last week and is now 12-13 overall, 7-9 in the Sun Belt. The Panthers are 1-2 this season against the teams on the upcoming road trip: UALR, Troy and Louisiana-Monroe.
The softball team went 4-0 last week to improve to 7-2 this season. They will host Kennesaw State on Wednesday.
