The Georgia State men’s basketball team, led by Ron Hunter, will play its annual “barefoot for bare feet” game on Thursday at the GSU Sports Arena. The Panthers will host Texas-Arlington at 7 p.m.

Hunter and his assistant coaches will work without socks and shoes to help the charity Samaritan’s Feet raise awareness of the millions of children around the world who don’t have proper footwear and the health issues therein.

This will be the fourth time Hunter has held this game as coach at Georgia State.

I’ve written a few stories about Hunter’s work with Samaritan’s Feet:

Fans who want to help support Samaritan’s Feet can either donate online to SamaritansFeet.org or can donate monetarily at the display table on the third floor of the GSU Sports Arena on Thursday. Shoes can also be accepted, but must be new. Used shoes cannot be accepted. If bringing shoes, we encourage fans to bring children’s sizes as that is where there is the greatest need.
