Georgia State’s football team, coming off a 1-11 season, picked up four commitments from junior college players last week.
Two of the players announced their decisions on twitter.
One was running back Kendrick Dorn, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound running back from San Bernardino Valley College.
The other was teammate Tyler Simonsen, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound guard and tackle.
The third was Dequeszman Kelley, a 6-foot-2, 285-pound defensive lineman from Coffeyville Community College.
The fourth was offensive lineman Dom Roldan, a 6-foot-5, 340-pound offensive lineman from Grossmont College.
Dorn will provide depth at a position that will be a question mark next year because of injuries to Kyler Neal and Jonathan Jean-Bart and inexperience with Marcus Caffey.
Simonsen will also add depth and competition to a group that loses two starters and awaits the return of injured left tackle Michael Ivory.
It’s obvious that Georgia State’s coaching staff is making a push to add the depth and competition necessary to speed up the building of the program.
